Sponsored post: Trying out my new Sprint mobile hot spot

In advance of the trip from West Virginia to South Florida, I traded in my Sprint wireless card for a new Sprint MiFi 2200, a mobile hot spot to which up to five devices simultaneously can connect.

Slightly larger than a credit card and less than half the thickness of a cell phone, the biggest challenge about using the device is not losing it.

Now, I can connect my laptop to the Internet anywhere -- at the hotel, in the Vanagon, or at the nearest Denny’s restaurant, etc.

And the monthly service fee is identical to the one-computer-at-a-time wireless card.

Yes, we’re pointing this out because Sprint is still the official telecommunications sponsor of PFT.

And but for Sprint, PFT wouldn’t be what it now is. (So you can blame Sprint.)
