STEELERS-CHARGERS ONE-LINERS

Coach Mike Tomlin called out eight of his best players in a team meeting Saturday. OLB James Harrison, who had a sack for a safety and an interception, believes he’s the NFL’s best defensive player. Harrison’s teammates are having fun comparing him to ex-Steeler Joey Porter. Gary Russell earned the role as the Steelers’ short-yardage back by converting a couple key third downs. WR Hines Ward had 11 catches for 124 yards and a few more bruising blocks. San Diego QB Phillip Rivers had his worst statistical performance in 20 games. “We’ve been up against the wall,” Rivers said after the Chargers fell to 4-6. “Even more so now.” After four weeks without a sack, the Chargers got four of them against Ben Roethlisberger. RB LaDainian Tomlinson broke a five-game rushing touchdown drought. “It’s hard to believe we lost a game to a team that didn’t score a touchdown,” LT said.
