Testaverde makes it to the (college) Hall of Fame

Testaverde

University of Miami quarterback Vinny Testaverde emerged from college with a Heisman Trophy and the most can’t-miss of all can’t-miss projections for the next level.

And then he ended up being a bust. For a while.

Eventually, Testaverde developed into a very good NFL quarterback, proving that where a quarterback ends up has a huge influence on whether he ends up being very good or very bad or somewhere in between.

Though never good enough to make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Testaverde will join the College Football Hall of Fame. Testaverde is among 12 players and two coaches who will be inducted later this year.

The class includes running back Ron Dayne, tackle Orlando Pace, linebacker Tedy Bruschi, and quarterback Danny Wuerffel, a 1996 Heisman winner who was a complete and total bust at all stops in the NFL.
