Tests negative on Saints cornerback Jabari Greer

J. Greer

The Saints lost a big game Sunday in Baltimore, but it appears they won’t lose their best cornerback for too long. Jabari Greer left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury and didn’t return.

“The test results we got have all been negative, so we’ll just see where he’s at,” coach Sean Payton said on Monday according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

While the Saints offense is playing better again, the pass defense has shown some cracks of late against the Bengals and Ravens. At 10-4, New Orleans heads to the Georgia Dome on Monday to face the Falcons. The Saints will also got kick returner Courtney Roby back in the mix.

The defending champs only need to win one of their final two games to make the playoffs, but surely they would love to avoid needing a victory in Week 17 against the Bucs to get in.

The Saints would also love to hold on to the NFC’s No. 5 seed so they could open the playoffs at the NFC West winner.
