The injury-plagued Texans have lost a significant part of their offense for the year.
Texans guard Tytus Howard is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Howard has started every game he has ever played, although he has had some bad luck with injuries, including a broken hand that cost him the first month of this season.
The 27-year-old Howard was the Texans’ first-round draft pick in 2019. He signed a three-year, $56 million contract extension in July. He is under contract through the 2026 season and has a cap hit of $19 million next season.
