TEXANS-JAGUARS ONE-LINERS

Said Jaguars K Josh Scobee of his game-winning field goal, “Every kicker lives for this moment. Either you make a living doing it or you don’t. This year, I’ve gotten two opportunities and made both of them. I’ve been very fortunate.” Jaguars QB David Garrard ran for 41 yards and scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Jaguars receivers coach Todd Manken gave WR Matt Jones an excited spank on his bottom. Jones had another solid game. The Texans picked on the Jaguars’ thin secondary. Rookie DE Derrick Harvey made his first start for the Jaguars but didn’t have a tackle. Said Texans G Chester Pitts, “When you come down to the wire in a game like this, you can taste a victory, and it’s harder to swallow if you don’t pull it off.” The Texans’ practice in the red zone paid off. DE Mario Williams had five quarterback hurries. Texans S C.C. Brown broke his arm in the fourth quarter.
