The Texans brought a new player into their backfield mix on Saturday.
The team announced the signing of running back Owen Wright to their 90-man roster. Punter Jack Stonehouse was waived in a corresponding move.
Wright signed with the Ravens after going undrafted in 2023 and played in one game for Baltimore during his rookie season. He spent 2024 on injured reserve and played in three games for the Bucs last season.
Wright ran three times for six yards while with Tampa and also returned three kickoffs. He was waived in May.
Stonehouse went undrafted in April and signed with the Texans in May. His departure leaves Kai Kroeger as the only punter on the roster in Houston.
