The Texans kicked off the week by adding a wide receiver.
They announced that they have signed Juwann Winfree to their 90-man roster. Linebacker Sione Takitaki was placed on injured reserve to open a spot for Winfree in Houston.
Winfree also spent time with the Texans last summer, but was let go in September. His last regular season action came in eight appearances with the Colts in 2023. Winfree did not catch any passes for Indianapolis, but had nine catches for 75 yards while with the Packers earlier in his career.
Takitaki signed with the Texans a week ago and will need to be released with an injury settlement if he’s going to play anywhere in 2026.
