ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Texans are trying to trade receiver/returner Jacoby Jones after using the 68th overall pick on Ohio State receiver DeVier Posey.

Houston is going to have a tough time finding a taker. Jones has a $3 million base salary, and he’s not of much use on offense. On special teams, Jones lost a first-quarter fumble on a punt return in January’s playoff loss to Baltimore. The turnover led to an early touchdown for the Ravens, and the Texans offense was unable to make up the difference.

Perhaps the Texans could acquire a seventh-round pick for Jones, but that’s about all they’d be able to get.

More likely, Jones looks like a player who will end up released.
