The Tennessee Titans have hired Deshea Townsend and Steve Jackson to serve as secondary coaches under new full-time head coach Mike Mularkey.

Townsend played for the Pittsburgh Steelers while Mularkey was an offensive coach on Bill Cowher’s staff. He’s spent the last three seasons coaching cornerbacks at Mississippi State. Townsend’s first coaching experience came as an assistant defensive backs coach for the Arizona Cardinals under Ken Whisenhunt from 2011-2012.

Jackson spent nine years playing for the Titans franchise before moving into coaching. He’s spent 13 years as a coach with three different teams. He worked as a secondary coach for the Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions before joining Mularkey’s staff in Tennessee.
