Titans safety Josh Aubrey has decided he no longer wants to play football.
The Titans placed Aubrey on the reserve/retired list today after he told coach Mike Mularkey he didn’t feel up to playing anymore.
“He retired,’’ Mularkey said. “He decided his heart wasn’t in it. I respect him – that’s a big decision he had to make. . . . I told him to go home yesterday . . . and talk to his family and do all the pluses and minuses of both. He looked at he was at ease with his decision this morning to retire.”
The 25-year-old Aubrey entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in Cleveland in 2013. He then bounced around the league from Seattle to Houston in 2014 before landing in Tennessee in 2015. He played in just one game last year and may not have made the Titans’ roster this year.
