The Titans’ decision to fire coach Ken Whisenhunt may not go over well in the locker room.
Titans cornerback Perrish Cox, who was signed this season in the hopes that he’d be a veteran leader, led the way this morning in taking to Twitter and saying that Whisenhunt should not have been let go.
“For anyone who wants to know, no I am NOT happy with wiz gone, he was a good coach, he wasn’t the problem and we all know it,” Cox wrote. “I completely understand what the fans and ownership are talking about, I completely agree, but us as players has to pick it up.”

Cox didn’t say which players have to pick it up, but there’s plenty of blame to go around on a team that has lost its last six games. Whisenhunt bore the brunt of that blame today, but there are a lot of players on the Titans’ roster who could lose their jobs as well.
