Asked earlier this week whether I thought the Dolphins will make the playoffs, I said, “They’re already there.”
With games against the 6-7 Titans, 6-7 Texans, and 6-7 Steelers to finish the stretch, the 7-6 Dolphins need to keep winning in order to stay alive, and they’ll possibly be facing each week a team that needs a win in order to keep their own postseason hopes alive.
But there’s a good chance that the last two games of the season will have a non-playoff atmosphere for the Dolphins. They currently trail Tennessee by 15 points late in the third quarter.
Quarterback Vince Young has rebounded from a volleyball-style interception on his first pass to throw three touchdown passes. Chris Johnson has added 85 yards rushing and 35 yards receiving.
But it’s not over yet -- the Dolphins are driving, and they could cut the margin to eight with their first touchdown of the game.
