Torry Holt’s first stay on injured reserve in his 11 years lasted exactly three days.
The Patriots released Holt on Wednesday after the two sides reached an injury settlement, according to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com.
Holt recently underwent knee surgery, but the settlement indicates that Holt probably harbors hopes of playing again in 2010. There’s no other real motivation to secure his freedom.
