Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams left Thursday night’s game against the New York Giants after suffering a knee injury late in the third quarter.

Williams went down and had to be helped off the field on a play where quarterback Kirk Cousins threw his third interception of the quarter.

The Redskins announced that Williams was questionable to return to the game.

Williams has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons. The loss of Williams for any significant portion of time would be a serious blow to a team about to fall to 1-3 on the year. With strong defenses in Seattle and Arizona next up on the schedule, protecting Kirk Cousins (or whoever the Redskins quarterback will be) will be a difficult proposition.
