Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill couldn’t reel in a pass from Tua Tagovailoa in the end zone on fourth down on the first Dolphins drive on Friday, but he made up for it in the second quarter.
Hill took a short pass from Tagovailoa and scooted into the end zone for a seven-yard touchdown. Jason Sanders’ extra point pushed the Dolphins to a 10-0 lead with 8:21 to play in the first half.
Tagovailoa and Hill have hooked up four times for 64 yards so far on Friday. That’s a good sign that neither the hand injury Hill suffered last week nor the foot/ankle issue that knocked him out for a play in the first quarter is impacting the wideout.
The Jets offense has picked up 22 yards while punting on each of their first three possessions.
