Tyson Bagent is able to play, but he won’t be playing.
More accurately, he won’t be starting.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that Bagent has cleared the concussion protocol. However, Case Keenum will get the start on Monday night against the Eagles.
As Glazer explains it, Bagent wasn’t able to sufficiently participate in the game planning to be prepared to start. If, however, Keenum struggles, Bagent could make an appearance in relief.
Obviously, Bagent becomes the primary option as Caleb Williams’s absence due to a hamstring injury continues. Bagent is the preferred backup, and he nearly engineered a late win over the Vikings after Williams left the game.
