Vince Young suffers knee injury in Jacksonville

Titans quarterback Vince Young has exited his team’s game against the Jaguars after suffering an apparent left knee injury.

The injury occurred after Young fumbled a snap midway through the first quarter. He was bent backward awkwardly after Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton had wrapped an arm around Young’s left leg.

Young limped off the field under his own power. He currently is being examined on the sideline.

A challenge to the outcome of the play -- a fumble recovery by the Jaguars -- resulted in a reversal. The Titans lead 7-0, and Kerry Collins is in at quarterback.

On his first play, Collins converted on a third down and 12 with a pass to receiver Damian Williams.

UPDATE: Young is questionable to return to the game.
