The Colts would like to have cornerback Vontae Davis in the lineup when they face the Packers in Green Bay on Sunday afternoon, but they won’t know if that’s a possibility until Saturday.

Coach Chuck Pagano said on Friday that Davis will see an independent neurologist on Saturday in hopes of getting clearance to play after spending the week in the concussion protocol. Davis has practiced the last two days in a non-contact jersey, so he’s made some progress but won’t be able to play without a final OK.

Davis’ return to the lineup after getting hurt last week would be welcome for a defense charged with stopping the Packers passing game. They will already be without safety Mike Adams, who has been ruled out with a groin injury, and defensive lineman Kendall Langford, who has a knee injury.

In better news, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is set to play after expressing some uncertainty earlier this week about whether his hamstring would allow him to go on Sunday.
