Packers linebacker Eric Walden pleaded no contest on Friday to a domestic disturbance charge stemming from a December incident.
Paul Srubas of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Walden got a one-year deferred judgment in the case. He was originally arrested on a felony charge, but it was downgraded to a misdemeanor.
The news doesn’t come at a great time for Walden. He’s set to be a free agent and it’s possible he could be subject to league punishment. Walden started 15 games for the Packers in 2011, but didn’t make much of an impact.
