The Washington Redskins have signed former Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jordan Hill to fill the roster spot vacated by placing Niles Paul on injured reserve.
Hill has been without a team since being waived off injured reserve by Seattle in mid-October. He’s appeared in 27 games over the last three seasons with the Seahawks after being a third round pick in 2013.
Hill was seemingly having a breakout season in 2014. He had 4.5 sacks in the final five games of the season as an interior pass rusher for Seattle. However, he sustained a calf injury in the bye week before Seattle’s first playoff game and was placed on injured reserve.
Injuries derailed much of his time with the Seahawks. A hamstring injury at the end of training camp led to him being waived/injured by Seattle. He was then waived off injured reserve on Oct. 15.
Hill has 31 tackles, seven sacks and an interception in three seasons with Seattle.
