The Broncos signed long snapper Thomas Gafford on Friday.

Regular long snapper Casey Kreiter is dealing with a calf injury that will keep him out for at least one game. Gafford was the Chiefs’ long snapper for seven seasons and makes his return to the NFL against his old team Sunday night.

Gafford was with the Chiefs from 2008-14. He snapped in 11 games for the Bears and three for the Raiders last season.

Defensive tackle Darius Kilgo was waived to make room on the roster for Gafford.
