Wichita Police released the 911 calls stemming from last week’s incident involving Cowboys running back Joseph Randle, in which he’s alleged to have threatened the mother of his child.
According to the tapes, obtained by NBC 5 in Dallas, the woman described a scene of Randle threatening her with a gun and breaking the window out of her car, before calling back later to say everything had been worked out.
“He pointed the gun in front of the mother of his child and he pointed it in front of this other female, . . . we have our child here and he has a lot of weed,” the woman said on the tape. “Joseph Randle just broke a window, he pointed a gun in front of somebody’s car and then he busted her window open, . . . he plays for the Cowboys.”
She ended the first call when she said Randle was approaching, then later called back to tell police they didn’t need to report.
“I was just talking to someone. I’m the woman that called about Joseph Randle,” she said. “Um, you guys don’t have to worry about it. We talked it out. We just talked it out, it’s fine. Everything’s fine. We just talked to him and everything’s fine now.
“Everything’s fine now, you don’t have to worry about it though. Just, please don’t come.”
She did, however, say that she felt threatened a number of times in the first call.
When police responded, Randle was cited for possession of marijuana, but those charges were dropped later.
Police are still investigating the incident.
