Zane Beadles found a soft place to land after being cut by the Jaguars, even if it doesn’t match his previous payday.

According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the veteran guard has agreed to a three-year deal with the 49ers which is worth $11.75 million.

Beadles was just two years into his five-year, $30 million contract with the Jaguars when they cut him earlier this month, yet another cautionary tale about teams making early splashes in free agency.

He started all 32 games with the Jaguars, but didn’t earn the kind of acclaim he did previously with the Broncos.

He’ll replace departed guard Alex Boone, who left the Bay Area for Minnesota.
