Richard Angulo and Jeff Dugan are the favorite for the No. 3 and No. 4 tight end spots in Minnesota.
Both players look like they’ll make the opening week roster behind Jim Kleinsasser and Jermaine Wiggins.

Reserve tight end Richard Angulo sprained his knee last night.
It could cause Angulo to be cut later this week. Richard Owens would likely make the roster instead.
  • JAC Coaching Staff
Vikings placed tight end Richard Angulo on injured reserve with a sprained knee, ending his season.
The Vikings may only carry three tight ends now.
  • Jaguars re-signed G Tutan Reyes and released TE Richard Angulo.
Jacksonville still has three tight ends: Marcedes Lewis, George Wrighster, and Greg Estandia.

Jaguars signed TE Richard Angulo, formerly of the Bears.
Angulo was a favorite of Jaguars assistant head coach Mike Tice when they were together in Minnesota but is currently fourth on the depth chart at best.

Angulo has one catch for 11 yards in his four-year career.

Jaguars re-signed TE Richard Angulo to a three-year contract.
The 6'7/270-pounder caught eight passes for 81 yards and a score in 2007. A Mike Tice favorite, Angulo will battle to be Marcedes Lewis’ top backup.

Jaguars signed TE Richard Angulo off the Browns’ practice squad.
The 6-7/260-pound Angulo is a favorite of offensive assistant Mike Tice from their days together in Minnesota. He’ll back up starter Marcedes Lewis.

Jaguars released TE Richard Angulo, LS Joe Zelenka, S Marlon McCree, FB Brock Bolen, LB Tim Shaw, and G Cameron Stephenson.
Bolen was an undrafted free agent from Louisville. Jags assistant Mike Tice loved Angulo, but the team is keeping explosive rookie Zach Miller over him. With McCree gone, Gerald Alexander will be the No. 3 safety.

Bears signed TE Richard Angulo and WR Eric Peterman to one-year contracts.
You know Mike Tice is on staff if the team is giving Angulo another shot. A longtime Tice favorite, Angulo has been with six different teams and has 17 career catches. Peterman ran a sub-4.5 at his Pro Day coming out of Northwestern in 2009, but went undrafted in April and is a big long shot.
