Vikings extended one-year, $850,000 contracts to restricted free agents TE Richard Owens, OL Anthony Herrerra and DT Spencer Johnson, a defensive tackle.

Owens caught six passes in 2006 and is mostly a blocker, although he did start a few games as Brad Childress tinkered with his weak tight end rotation. Johnson finished the season on I.R. with a high ankle sprain.
