RT Rob Havenstein retired from the NFL after 11 seasons.
He announced it on his Instagram. Havenstein started 148 games over 11 years with the Rams as their main right tackle, playing in two Super Bowls and winning one. The stalwart protector struggled with injuries over the past couple of seasons and couldn’t suit up for the Rams after Week 11 of the 2025 season. He had a 70 or higher PFF grade in nine of his 11 years and, while he likely isn’t a real Hall of Fame candidate, he was an incredibly successful pick by the Rams who should have a shot at some Ring Of Honor-type recognition.

Rams ruled out RT Rob Havenstein (ankle) for Los Angeles’ NFL Championship Game against the Seahawks.
Darn. The Rams opened Havenstein’s practice window this week, but he will not play on Sunday in Seattle. Havenstein is a capable run blocker, and the Seahawks allow a league-low 3.8 yards per carry. Fortunately, his backup, OT Warren McClendon, has been playing very well in his stead.

Rams designated RT Rob Havenstein (ankle/knee) to return from injured reserve.
A high-ankle sprain plagued Havenstein for much of the season. He also reportedly added a knee injury to mix, shortly before being placed on injured reserve in mid-November. Getting their right tackle back in time for this week’s game against the Seahawks would be great for the Rams’ offense. He resumed practicing on Thursday.

Rams RT Rob Havenstein (ankle) is eligible to return from injured reserve.
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Havenstein remained unlikely to suit up for Thursday night’s matchup against the Seahawks. He would have a real shot to play in Week 17, however. Havenstein has dealt with ankle issues for much of the season and has been on IR since mid-November. He would be a needed addition to the Rams offensive line for the team’s postseason push.

Rams placed RT Rob Havenstein on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
The Rams’ right tackle has dealt with a high-ankle sprain for much of the season. Hopefully, this move allows him the time needed to fully rehab the injury. The Rams also officially placed S Quentin Lake on injured reserve after undergoing surgery to correct the dislocated elbow injury he suffered in Week 11.

Rams RT Rob Havenstein (ankle) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 9 against the Saints.
Havenstein will play in Week 9, as expected. The Rams’ right tackle has been sidelined since Week 4, so his return is a big deal for QB Matthew Stafford. The Saints’ pass rush has improved with EDGE Chase Young (calf) back on the field.

Rams HC Sean McVay said he expects Rob Havenstein (ankle) to practice and play in Week 9 against the Saints.
Havenstein has missed the last three games with an ankle injury. That time away, coupled with the team’s Week 8 bye, has proven to be enough for the veteran tackle to return in Week 9 against the Saints. Havenstein has allowed one sack and 16 pressures on 154 pass blocking snaps this season.

Rams RT Rob Havenstein (ankle) will not play in Week 7 against the Jaguars.
Sunday will mark the third-straight missed game for Havenstein, who will hopefully have a chance to return after the Rams’ Week 8 bye. Backup tackle Warren McClendon has started the last two games for the Rams in Havenstein’s absence and will again draw the start over seas against the Jaguars in Week 7.

Rams RT Rob Havenstein (ankle) is doubtful for Week 6 against the Ravens.
Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that Havenstein will not practice today and is not expected to play. Havenstein missed the Rams’ Week 5 game against the 49ers as well. Fortunately, for Matthew Stafford, the Ravens are now without their top-two pressure generators, with DT Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) on injured reserve and OLB Odafe Oweh having been traded to the Chargers earlier this week. Stafford should play efficiently in Week 6. Rams LB Omar Speights (ankle) is also doubtful to play.

Rams declared TE Tyler Higbee, OL Rob Havenstein, QB Stetson Bennett IV, OL Beaux Limmer and DE Desjuan Johnson inactive for Week 5 against the 49ers.
Higbee is sidelined by a hip injury, which further condenses the target pecking order in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams’ favor. Havenstein's absence is likely a larger issue for Matthew Stafford as he navigates pressures from the 49ers’ pass rush, though. Havenstein is sidelined by an ankle injury, and Higbee has earned just 10 targets this season. Regardless, Stafford remains on the QB1/2 borderline.
