Free agent LB Nick Vigil worked out for the Giants.
Fellow free agent linebacker Sam Eguavoen also worked out for the Giants. The Giants have Bobby Okereke locked into a starting role at linebacker but have a hole next to him in the lineup. The position will be decided by a camp battle, so it makes sense to add a veteran backstop to the mix. Vigil appeared in four games, two of which were starts, for the Cardinals last year.

Dolphins re-signed LB Samuel Eguavoen to a one-year, $2 million contract.
The deal includes $800K in guarantees. Eguavoen played over half of his snaps on special teams last year, tallying 16 combined tackles. He was credited with half a sack in 2021 and scored a touchdown on the team’s final play of the season by intercepting a desperate lateral attempt against New England in Week 18 a few feet from the end zone. He will continue playing a significant role on special teams while mixing in for some snaps on defense in 2022.
