Kenny Pickett completed 8-of-11 passes for 96 yards and one touchdown in the Raiders’ 24-17, Week 14 loss to the Broncos, adding one rush for seven yards.
Raiders QB Geno Smith injured his right, throwing shoulder on the final play of the third quarter and was immediately taken to the locker room, thrusting Pickett into the starting lineup. Pickett took over on 3rd-and-7 from the Broncos’ seven-yard line and eventually turned the ball over on downs. The journeyman quarterback showed a decent connection with rookie WR Jack Bech thereafter and eventually connected with WR Shedrick Jackson, Bo Jackson’s nephew, for a 25-yard touchdown. It is Jackson’s first career reception. Pickett’s status will depend on Smith’s health, but he is a potential QB2 in superflex leagues in a #RevengeGame against the Eagles next week.
  • LV Quarterback #5
Raiders signed QB Cam Miller to their practice squad.
Miller finished with a 38.8 PFF offense grade for his 80 preseason snaps at quarterback. It would be surprising if the Raiders turned to him at any point this season, but perhaps he can take a step forward and show more next preseason. Also joining the Las Vegas practice squad are: WR Alex Bachman, RB Chris Collier, S Terrell Edmunds, DE Jahfari Harvey, WR Shedrick Jackson, LB Matt Jones, DT Treven Ma’ae, G Atonio Mafi, TE Albert Okwuegbunam Jr., TE Carter Runyon, WR Justin Shorter, OL Laki Tasi, S Trey Taylor, CB Greedy Vance, T Dalton Wagner and S JT Woods.
  • LV Quarterback #5
    Raiders waived QB Cam Miller.
Miller was the Raiders’ sixth-round pick, and it seems very likely that the signal-caller will be back with Las Vegas on their practice squad. Tommy Mellott — a former college quarterback who is making the move to wide receiver — was also part of the cuts for the Raiders. The full list of players who won’t make the 53-man roster: aived DT Zach Carter, RB Chris Collier, DE Jahfari Harvey, WR Shedrick Jackson, LB Matt Jones, DT Treven Ma’ae, G Atonio Mafi, RB Sincere McCormick, DE Ovie Oghoufo, TE Carter Runyon, WR Justin Shorter, OL Laki Tasi, S Trey Taylor, CB Greedy Vance, T Dalton Wagner and S JT Woods, WR Alex Bachman, S Terrell Edmunds and TE Albert Okwuegbunam while Lonnie Johnson Jr. was placed on the injured list and designated for return.
  • LV Wide Receiver #4
Auburn senior WR Shedrick Jackson announced his plans to return to school in 2022.
Jackson (6'2/196) announced that he would be looking to head back to Auburn after saying that 2021 did not live up to his standards. Last season, Jackson finished second on the team with 40 receptions for 527 yards and one touchdown, but could be in line for a lead receiver role in 2022. Jackson will be a super senior in 2022, and will look to further build on a breakout 2021.

  • LV Wide Receiver #4
Auburn senior WR Shedrick Jackson caught 4 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown in Auburn’s 34-24 win over Georgia State.
Shedrick (6'0"/198) caught the game winning touchdown with 59 seconds left to go. With QB T.J. Finley (replacing starter Bo Nix) scrambling around, Finley eventually found Jackson alone in the end zone. Jackson had to elevate to catch the ball and did a good job securing it to the ground for the win. Jackson was the second leading Auburn receiver in receptions and yards, and on one of his earliest catches showed some insane wiggle in the open field. Nothing compares to the drama of that last catch, though it was slightly diminished by a pick-six that makes the score line look worse than it was. Jackson gets LSU next Saturday.

  • LV Wide Receiver #4
Auburn junior WR Shedrick Jackson is considered to be questionable “at best” for Saturday’s game vs. LSU due to an undisclosed injury.
With “questionable” considered to be the best-case scenario by HC Gus Malzahn when asked about Jackson (6'0/201), it appears likely that the junior wideout will be forced to sit for the third time this season. Jackson originally suffered the injury during Auburn’s season-opening win over Kentucky, and he re-aggravated the injury during the October 17 loss to South Carolina. He did not play at all against Mississippi last weekend, and it appears that he won’t be available for the LSU matchup either.

  • LV Wide Receiver #4
Auburn junior WR Shedrick Jackson did not take part in warmups ahead of Saturday’s game against Ole Miss and is not expected to play.
Jackson (6'0/201) saw some action in last weekend’s loss to South Carolina, and he managed to catch one pass for nine yards. But he’s been a bit banged up this season, and it appears unlikely that he’ll be able to provide any depth at wide receiver Saturday afternoon. Jackson’s catch against South Carolina was his first of the season.

  • LV Wide Receiver #4
Auburn junior WR Shedrick Jackson (undisclosed) is expected play Saturday against Georgia.
Jackson (6'0"/198) played in six games over two seasons for the Tigers, recording four receptions for 46 yards in that span. The promising junior missed significant time last season with an ankle injury. He was expected to contribute in new OC Chad Morris’ wide receiver rotation this season, but was held out of Auburn’s first game against Kentucky as a precaution. Auburn travels to Athens to play Georgia between the hedges in the marquee matchup of the weekend.

  • LV Wide Receiver #4
Auburn sophomore WR Shedrick Jackson (ankle) is in uniform for Saturday’s game at Florida.
Whether or not Jackson (6'0/198) is able to play has yet to be determined, as he was in uniform for last week’s win over Mississippi State but did not see any action. The sophomore wide receiver, considered by some to be the Tigers’ best blocker at the position, has not appeared in a game since suffering a high ankle sprain in the season-opening win over Oregon.
  • LV Wide Receiver #4
Auburn sophomore WR Shedrick Jackson (ankle) is in uniform and going through warmups ahead of Saturday’s game vs. Mississippi State.
Jackson (6'0/198), who did not travel with the team to last weekend’s win over Texas A&M due to the ankle injury, has not appeared in a game since the season opening win over Oregon. The sophomore’s return would mean that Auburn would have its full compliment of wide receivers, as in recent weeks Seth Williams, Eli Stove and Will Hastings have all returned to the lineup after being sidelined by injuries.
