    Patriots re-signed guard Stephen Neal.
Terms were not disclosed. The two-time NCAA Division I wrestling champ came off New England’s practice squad to start 14 games at right guard last season. New England still needs to add another guard and tackle this offseason.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
Donte’ Stallworth (knee) is no longer on the Patriots’ injury report.
Stallworth had been limited in practice on Wednesday. LT Matt Light missed practice with flu-like symptoms, special teamer Mel Mitchell didn’t practice with a biceps injury, and G Stephen Neal was limited with a shoulder injury.
  • Patriots G Stephen Neal left Sunday’s game in the second quarter with a knee injury.
He was hurt on a third-down play involving Justin Tuck’s sack of Tom Brady to force a Patriots punt. Neal is not expected back in the second half.
  • Patriots G Stephen Neal and S Eugene Wilson will return to the Patriots lineup this week.
Wilson has lost his starting job to upstart James Sanders, but getting Neal back is a big gain for the New England offense. On a team usually riddled with injuries, DE Jarvis Green is the only Patriots remotely banged-up this late in the year.
  • Patriots RG Stephen Neal had a “thick black brace” on his injured knee after the Super Bowl.
The position may need to be addressed this spring if Neal’s injury is severe. With it sidelining him during such a big game, there’s a good chance it is.
