Bengals claimed LB Swayze Bozeman, formerly of the Giants, off of waivers.
Bozeman, 27, spent last season with the Giants. He signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2024. Bozeman has just three career tackles to his name as a defender, plus four more via special teams. Contributing on special teams is likely his ticket to the Bengals’ active roster.
  • FA Linebacker #54
    Giants released LB Swayze Bozeman.
The team also cut DT Marlon Tuipulotu, WR Courtney Jackson, and DT Elijah Chatman. The moves were made to free up space on the roster for UDFAs ahead of rookie minicamp. Bozeman appeared in six games for the Giants last year, contributing mostly on special teams.
  • NYG Linebacker #54
Giants signed LB Swayze Bozeman, TE Tanner Conner, OLB Trace Ford, OL Reid Holskey, CB Patrick McMorris, and CB Myles Purchase to reserve/futures contracts.
GM Joe Schoen’s first act after being retained by the team was to sign six practice squad players to reserve/futures contracts. We’re sure this is the right move for the team’s future.
  • CHI Defensive Back #32
Bears placed CB Terell Smith (knee) on injured reserve.
We already knew Smith would miss the 2025 season, but this move makes it official. It’s a terribly unfortunate development for the talented former fifth-round pick. Additionally, the Bears waived LB Swayze Bozeman, OL Chris Glaser, TE Thomas Gordon, S Mark Perry and DB Jeremiah Walker.
