Jaguars signed LB Tanner Muse, formerly of the Chargers.
Muse was drafted by the Raiders in the third-round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He never took a snap for the team after missing his rookie season with a foot injury. He resurfaced with the Seahawks in his second season and carved out a consistent role on special teams over the next two years. Muse appeared in 10 games for the Chargers last year and logged 198 special teams snaps. He tallied two tackles, both of which came on special teams. Muse will play a similar role for the Jags.
  • LAC Linebacker #58
Chargers claimed LB Tanner Muse off waivers from the Steelers.
Muse, a special teams contributor who has played 24 NFL games since being drafted in 2020, will be a depth option at linebacker for the Chargers. His primary contribution will come on special teams.
  • FA Linebacker #58
    Steelers waived LB Tanner Muse
Muse was signed as a special teams contributor early this offseason but has found himself being left off the Steelers’ 53-man roster. The former third-round pick has appeared in 24 games since being drafted in 2020 and should have a chance to latch on with another team in the coming weeks.
  • Linebacker
Steelers signed LB Tanner Muse, formerly of the Seahawks.
Muse, a third round selection by the Raiders in the 2020 NFL Draft, played for the Seahawks in 2021 and 2022, mostly as a special teams player. He’ll take on the same role with the Steelers, who in 2022 had the league’s second worst special teams unit, per Pro Football Focus.

  • Linebacker
Seahawks re-signed LB Tanner Muse to a one-year contract.
S Ryan Neal, LB Jon Rhattigan, DB Nigel Warrior, and OL Dakoda Shepley, all of whom were exclusive rights free agents, were also re-signed to one-year deals. Muse appeared in six games for Seattle last year, logging 100 snaps on special teams.

  • Linebacker
    Raiders waived LB Tanner Muse.
Muse, a 2020 third-round pick, spent his rookie year on IR. The release comes as a surprise, as Muse got some reps with the first-team defense in training camp and was expected to have a special team role. 25-year-old Muse is likely to resurface with another team.

  • Linebacker
Raiders placed LB Tanner Muse on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The No. 100 overall pick has been on injured reserve all season with a toe injury.

  • Linebacker
Raiders placed LB/S Tanner Muse (toe) on injured reserve.
Muse can return in three weeks if he’s ready. When healthy, Muse profiles as a valuable special teamer and depth option in the back seven on defense. He was Clemson’s Special Teams Player of the Year as a sophomore and has the straight-line speed to excel in that role.

  • Linebacker
    Raiders signed third-round LB/S Tanner Muse to a four-year, $4.3 million contract.
Muse (6’2/227) was a captain and three-year starting safety at Clemson who earned first-team All-ACC honors as a redshirt senior by making 74 tackles and four interceptions. He comes downhill in a hurry, delivering big hits to opponents and energy to his defense, but his age (24 as a rookie) and instincts in pass coverage are worrisome. He bites on double moves and isn’t nearly as athletic changing directions as he is moving in a straight line. Jacked up with 4.41 speed, Muse best profiles as hybrid linebacker and special teamer in the NFL. He was Clemson’s Special Teams Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore.
