The Raiders are working out free agent QB Todd Bouman this week.
Bouman is 39 years old with a terrible in-game track record, and wouldn’t be the upgrade on Kyle Boller that the Raiders are currently said to be seeking. Oakland is working out Bouman, but not Trent Edwards or Josh McCown.

Todd Bouman and Jamie Martin are competing to be the Saints’ No. 2 quarterback.
If Drew Brees misses any regular season time, neither veteran backup should have fantasy value.
  • JAC Quarterback
Todd Bouman completed 13-of-16 passes for 117 yards as the Saints’ No. 2 quarterback during Monday night’s preseason loss to Dallas.
Either Bouman or Jaime Martin, who was an excused absence for the game, are likely to be cut. Though Martin is thought to have a tight grip on the backup job, Bouman did a nice job of showing he belongs.

    Saints released QB Todd Bouman.
He’s not eligible for the practice squad, so New Orleans will just go with two active quarterbacks. Jamie Martin is Drew Brees’ backup.
  • JAC Quarterback
Todd Bouman went 12-of-18 for 129 yards as the starter in place of Aaron Brooks last night.
J.T. O’Sullivan added another 104 passing yards and the game-deciding rushing TD. Bouman has been impressive this preseason.
  • JAC Quarterback
Todd Bouman completed 5-of-13 passes for 31 yards and an interception in relief of Aaron Brooks.
His interception was returned for a touchdown, and Bouman lost a fumble. Aaron Brooks will start again next week.

    Jaguars signed QB Todd Bouman.
What did Aaron Brooks do to make NFL GMs so angry at him? Bouman lost his backup job in New Orleans in 2006, and was on Green Bay’s roster for a few weeks last season. He’s no threat to Quinn Gray, who will start for the next 3-4 weeks in Jacksonville.

Jaguars re-signed QB Todd Bouman and TE Charles Davis.
Bouman, 35, has a decent grasp of coordinator Dirk Koetter’s offense, but the Jags should be able to do better as a backup for David Garrard. They could be interested in Josh McCown and Daunte Culpepper. Davis is a camp body.

    Rams released QB Todd Bouman.
Gus Frerotte and Marc Bulger are both healthy, so Bouman was no longer needed. Brock Berlin will go back to being St. Louis’ emergency quarterback.
  • JAC Quarterback
The Rams opted against signing free agent QB Todd Bouman on Tuesday.
Either the 35-year-old journeyman didn’t impress during his tryout or the Rams believe Gus Frerotte (shoulder) will be available for backup duty two weeks from now. Brock Berlin will back up Marc Bulger against Cincinnati.
