Cowboys placed LT Tyler Guyton (ankle) on injured reserve.
Guyton’s season is over. The team signed DB Corey Ballentine from their practice squad to the 53-man roster in a corresponding move. Guyton suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 12 and hasn’t played since. The team was likely holding out hope that he could return late in the year if they were still in the playoff hunt. Dallas was eliminated from postseason contention last week.
  • DAL OFFENSIVE TACKLE (SUB) #60
Cowboys T Tyler Guyton (ankle) will not play in Dallas’ Week 16 game against the Chargers.
He hasn’t practiced or played since Week 12’s high-ankle sprain, so this will be his fourth-straight missed game. The Cowboys don’t necessarily have to shut him down, but they probably won’t bother trying to play him in Week 17 or 18 if there’s any question about his health now that they’re all but eliminated from the playoff picture.
  • DAL OFFENSIVE TACKLE (SUB) #60
Cowboys declared WR Jalen Tolbert, RB Jaydon Blue, T Tyler Guyton, DT Jay Toia, and DT Perrion Winfrey inactive for Week 15 against the Vikings.
Guyton continues his rehab from a high-ankle sprain suffered in Week 12, leaving Nate Thomas to draw another start. The Cowboys enter Sunday Night Football in desperate need of a win as they aim to keep their fading playoff hopes alive.

Cowboys T Tyler Guyton (ankle) won’t play in Dallas’ Week 15 game against the Vikings.
Nate Thomas got the tackle work the last two weeks and should be set for another start against the Vikings defense in Week 15. Guyton has not played or practiced since suffering the dreaded high-ankle sprain in Dallas’ Week 12 win over the Eagles. The second-year tackle should be considered questionable for Week 16.

Cowboys LT Tyler Guyton (ankle) will not play in Week 14 against the Lions
Guyton went down with a high-ankle sprain in Week 12 and missed the following game on Thanksgiving. Nathan Thomas will continue to start at left tackle this week. Though he will be a clear weak point for the Cowboys, that shouldn’t stop their offensive machine from rolling versus Detroit. Trevon Diggs was not activated from injured reserve and is also out.

Cowboys listed Tyler Guyton (ankle) as a DNP on Monday’s estimated practice report.
Guyton suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 12’s win over the Eagles and was sidelined for Week 13’s game against the Chiefs. Given the nature of his injury, it seems unlikely that he would be ready to go with less than two weeks of recovery time. We’ll see if his status changes later in the week, but we could be looking at another start for Nate Thomas.

Cowboys declared LT Tyler Guyton, RB Jaydon Blue, CB Caelen Carson, WR Jonathan Mingo, DT Jay Toia and DT Perrion Winfrey inactive for Week 13 against the Chiefs.
The Cowboys are without their left tackle, who suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 12 against the Eagles. He was unable to practice at all this week. Blue, the once exciting rookie running back, is only a mildly intriguing bench stash at this point. His explosive traits are not in doubt, but he seemingly has a way to go before the Cowboys trust him.

Cowboys LT Tyler Guyton (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 12’s win over the Eagles.
Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins reports Nate Thomas will likely start Thursday against the Chiefs. Most high-ankle sprains are multi-week absences, so it’s possible Guyton winds up on injured reserve ahead of Thanksgiving.

Cowboys LT Tyler Guyton (glute) is questionable to play in Week 8 against the Broncos.
Cowboys C Cooper Beebe (ankle) has been designated to return from injured reserve, yet remains questionable against the Broncos. He was limited all week. Guyton evidently injured his glute on Thursday, logging consecutive limited sessions to close the week. Hopefully, at least one of them can play. QB Dak Prescott faces the Broncos’ top-tier pass rush this week.

Cowboys LT Tyler Guyton (glute) was limited on Thursday.
This is unfortunate. The Cowboys’ offensive line health had been improving as of late and this week, they are tasked with fending off the Broncos’ pass rush, keyed by EDGE Nik Bonitto, who ties for an NFL-high 10 sacks through seven weeks. Hopefully, Guyton can continue practicing on Friday.
