Cardinals WR Michael Wilson (ankle) is off the injury report for Week 7 against the Chargers.
Wilson logged a week of limited sessions but ultimately will suit up for the team’s Week 7 contest against the Chargers. Fellow wide receiver Zay Jones will also make his season debut after being activated from suspension the previous week.

Cardinals activated WR Zay Jones to their 53-man roster.
Jones was reinstated from a five-game suspension by the team last week but missed Week 6’s contest against the Packers due to a hamstring injury. Now healthy, the veteran receiver will have a chance to suit up for Week 7 against the Chargers on Monday night, and could play a bigger role than expected with Marvin Harrison Jr. currently dealing with a concussion.

Zay Jones (hamstring) won’t play in Week 6 against the Packers.
Jones was set to return from a five-game suspension but will be held out at least one more week while dealing with this hamstring injury. Jones popped up on Thursday’s injury report with the injury, so it’s possible this is a new injury he sustained in his first week back. Whether or not this is something that will sideline him for multiple weeks is unknown at this time. In addition to Jones, the Cardinals also ruled out defensive tackle Darius Robinson with a calf injury.

Cardinals activated WR Zay Jones from the reserve/suspended list.
Jones was suspended for the first five games of the season for violating the league’s Personal Conduct Policy. The veteran receiver signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals earlier this offseason and was thought to have a chance to compete for the WR2 job opposite Marvin Harrison. While that could still be the case, second-year Michael Wilson has been solid this far, totaling 19 catches for 216 yards and a touchdown on 26 targets. Even when he gets back up to speed, it’s hard to imagine Jones having much of a fantasy impact at this time.

NFL suspended Cardinals WR Zay Jones for the first five games of 2024.
NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalk reports Jones violated the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy following his November 2023 arrest, which reportedly involves a domestic violence accusation. Jones was competing for the Cardinals’ No. 4 wide receiver role.

The Arizona Republic reports second-year pro Michael Wilson is running ahead of free agent addition Zay Jones to begin Cardinals training camp.
A buzzed-about rookie third-rounder last season, Wilson was limited to 13 games by injury but still managed to flash for 38/565/3 in the Cardinals’ compromised offense. At 6-foot-2, he’s a natural outside complement to first-round rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. Wilson nailing down work on the outside would leave Jones and Greg Dortch fighting for primary slot duties.

Cardinals signed WR Zay Jones, formerly of the Jaguars, to a one-year contract.
Jones visited with several teams, including the Titans, Chiefs, and Cowboys, before ultimately joining the Cardinals. He can reportedly earn up to $4.25 million on his deal. The former second-round pick was released by the Jaguars earlier this month after the team drafted LSU’s Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round but has been a coveted receiver on the open market. When he was at his best, Jones turned in an 82-823-5 season with the Jaguars in 2022, but injuries limited him to just nine games and a line of 34-321-2 in 2023. Playing primarily as an outside receiver, Jones should have no trouble earning a role opposite rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. Second-year receiver Michael Wilson could also challenge Jones for snaps, but the rest of the receiver room is relatively thin in Arizona. Jones could have some WR4 upside in PPR leagues if the snaps and targets are there.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that former Jaguars WR Zay Jones is scheduled to meet with the Chiefs Thursday.
Jones has visited the Titans, Cardinals, and Cowboys so far in his free agency. He was released by the Jaguars after they added Brian Thomas in the 2024 NFL Draft. Though Jones battled injuries for much of last season, he hit a career-high 8-823-5 mark with the Jaguars in 2022. Meanwhile, the Chiefs may be without Rashee Rice for much of next season if he is suspended for his legal troubles. The 29-year-old Jones would add a bigger target for Patrick Mahomes in the Chiefs offense, which added Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy as well. Kansas City will be the fourth city in Jones’ free agency tour.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Titans are meeting with free agent WR Zay Jones.
Jones was let go by the Jaguars after the 2024 NFL Draft concluded. He spent two seasons with the Jags, totaling 116 receptions for 1,144 yards and seven touchdowns over 25 games. He posted a career-high 82-823-5 line in 2022, marking the best year of his eight-year career, but struggled through injuries for much of last season. Jones and Titans OC Nick Holz have spent time together with the Raiders and Jaguars, giving him familiarity with the system that’s expected to be installed in Tennessee. Jones would make for a solid WR3 alongside DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley, and could challenge Treylon Burks for meaningful snaps.

    Jaguars released WR Zay Jones.
The Jaguars, after signing Gabe Davis this offseason and drafting LSU WR Brian Thomas, part ways with Jones after two seasons. Jones was a central part of the team’s passing offense over those two years, catching 116 passes for 1,144 yards and seven touchdowns. Look for Jones — who had domestic battery charges against him dropped in March — to land with another wideout-needy team in the coming weeks. The Lions, for one, profile as a good fit.
