    Rockies signed OF Nick Longhi to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
    Longhi, a 30th-round pick of the Red Sox in the 2013 MLB Draft, slashed .283/.336/.463 with 12 home runs and 51 RBI over 111 games at the Triple-A level in 2019. The 25-year-old outfielder has yet to reach the majors.

    Longhi, 24, is a former Red Sox prospect who spent 2019 at Triple-A in the Reds organization, hitting .283/.336/.463 with 12 homers. He’s merely organizational depth.

    Red Sox OF prospect Nick Longhi bashed four hits Saturday in a victory for High-A Salem.
    Not a bad day at the office for the 20-year-old. Longhi now has three multi-hit games in his last four contests. 11 of his 27 RBI this year have come in the last 10 games including two in Saturday’s 8-7 win over Wilmington. He’s tied for fourth in the Carolina League with 12 doubles this season. Longhi also ranks sixth in the league with 39 hits. Despite his success, Longhi remains homerless in 125 at-bats this year.

    Reds acquired 1B/OF Nick Longhi from the Red Sox in exchange for international bonus pool money.
    The Red Sox inked top Venezuelan prospect Daniel Flores, among others, in the July 2 signing period and needed a little extra cash in their allotted pool. Longhi’s numbers in the minors so far have been underwhelming, but the 21-year-old was ranked by MLB.com as the No. 9 prospect in the system.

    Red Sox outfield prospect Nick Longhi finished with a career-high four hits Sunday in a win for Low-A Greenville.
    It was his ninth multi-hit game of the season. He also tied a career-high with four RBI as the Drive rolled to an easy 15-0 win over Lexington. Fifteen of Longhi’s 26 RBI have come over his last ten games. The 19-year-old Massachusetts native has hit .302 versus left-handers this season but only .253 against righties.

    Red Sox OF prospect Nick Longhi broke out of an 0-for-17 slump with three hits Sunday in a win for Low-A Greenville.
    The 19-year-old hadn’t homered since May 31. He’s hit .303 with 11 RBI since the All-Star break. Longhi hasn’t received as much hype as his teammates Yoan Moncada and Rafael Devers, but he’s still having a solid first year in the South Atlantic League with a .282 average in 309 at-bats. He’s listed as an outfielder but can also play first base.
