International Olympic Committee members will vote to decide the 2024 Olympic host city on Sept. 13, 2017.
That in mind, the Los Angeles Olympic bid committee published a video Tuesday titled “Dream City,” promoting the features of Southern California for 2 minutes and closing with its slogan, “Follow the Sun.”
Los Angeles is one of four cities vying to host the 2024 Games, along with Budapest, Paris and Rome.
Rome may withdraw its bid in the next month, with its new mayor voicing opposition.
Los Angeles is trying to bring the Olympics to the U.S. for the first time since the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games, to end the longest stretch between U.S.-hosted Olympics since the 28-year break between 1932 and 1960. The last Summer Olympics in the U.S. were the 1996 Atlanta Games.
Paris and Los Angeles hope to join London as the only cities to host the Olympics three times. Paris is bidding to host on the 100-year anniversary of the French capital’s last Games.
