More than six million tickets for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics were sold so far through the first two purchase windows. The next opportunity for the general public to buy tickets will come in 2027.
LA28 said “the vast majority” of available tickets were sold in the first two purchase windows — April 2-6 (local presale) and April 9-19, and then July 29-31 (Visa presale) and Aug. 10-20.
Purchases came from 129 countries and territories. More than 700,000 fans bought $28 tickets, and nearly a quarter of all tickets sold were under $100 each.
Flag football, lacrosse, softball and squash — all added to the Olympic program for 2028 — sold out of their available standard ticket inventory in each of the first two windows.
The sport disciplines scheduled for Oklahoma City — canoe slalom and softball — also had a 100% sell in the first two windows. More tickets will be made available in 2027.
Specific dates are to be announced for the next overall opportunity to buy tickets in 2027. Tickets across every sport will be released on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to available inventory. There will be no limits on the number of tickets fans can purchase, regardless of how many they previously bought.
In 2027, LA28 will launch a verified ticket resale program. LA Paralympic tickets will also go on sale in 2027.
In total, around 14 million tickets are expected to be available for the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics combined.
For the 2024 Paris Olympics, 5.39 million tickets were sold through the first two purchase windows through May 2023.
