LA28 will open volunteer applications for Games-time roles on July 14, marking two years out from the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Those interested can sign up for updates here, where they can learn more about the LA28 Volunteer Program presented by Delta Air Lines. More information will be shared in the weeks ahead.
Those who already expressed interest in the program will receive an email with next steps for the application process.
The overall LA28 Volunteer Crew will include around 60,000 people for the Olympics and Paralympics. The Olympic volunteer period is March-August 2028. The Paralympic volunteer period is August-September 2028.
Each Games-time volunteer must commit to at least 10 shifts within one period.
In a press release, LA28 detailed some of the volunteer duties: “from welcoming and guiding spectators and athletes to more specialized roles, such as providing medical or language translation assistance.”
Most roles will be in the greater LA area. Volunteers will also be needed in Oklahoma City, where canoe slalom and softball will be held, and at soccer venues across the country.
Applicants will be asked preferred locations and skills for consideration for specialized roles.
