Distance running enthusiasts can run with Boston Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi at the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Half Marathon on June 1.

Keflezighi, who became the first American man to win the Boston Marathon in 31 years on April 21, will pace a group aiming to run the 13.1-mile race in 90 minutes, or a little under 7 minutes per mile.

Keflezighi will be “competing amongst the masses,” organizers said.

Keflezighi, a San Diegan, will take part in the event for the fourth straight year after finishing fourth last year and winning the half marathon in 2011 and 2012.

“To return to the streets of San Diego for the Suja Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon after winning the Boston Marathon will be something special for me and my fellow runners,” Keflezighi said in a press release. “This year I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge to help more athletes achieve their goal in the city where I grew up. To have that opportunity amongst so many friends and family is something I’m really looking forward to.”
