The U.S. Olympic team will eventually include more than 500 athletes after all is said and done in qualifying, with roster announcements and at various Olympic Trials.

The Rio Olympic Opening Ceremony is Aug. 5 at the historic Maracanã, and the Games run through Aug. 21.
