The 2026 USA Track and Field Outdoor and Para National Championships air live on NBC Sports, Peacock and USATF.TV from Thursday through Sunday.
The meet will be in New York City for the first time since 1991, held at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island, just east of Manhattan.
Headliners include 2024 Olympic gold medalists Noah Lyles (entered in the 100m and 200m), Sha’Carri Richardson (100m), Melissa Jefferson-Wooden (200m), Quincy Hall (400m), Tara Davis-Woodhall (100m hurdles and long jump) and Valarie Sion (discus).
Plus rising stars like Cooper Lutkenhaus, a 17-year-old who won the 800m at the World Indoor Championships in March, becoming the youngest individual world champion in track and field history.
On the Para side, gold medalists from Paris 2024 who qualified include Jaydin Blackwell (100m), Noah Malone (100m), Hunter Woodhall (100m, 400m), Daniel Romanchuk (400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m), Roderick Townsend (high jump) and Noelle Malkamaki (shot put).
Stars to watch: Noah Lyles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, Tara Davis-Woodhall
Noah Lyles and Kenny Bednarek are slated to resume their rivalry in the 100m (final Friday at 7:53 p.m. ET, Peacock and NBCSN).
Last year, the Olympic 100m gold medalist Lyles overtook the Olympic 200m silver medalist Bednarek by four hundredths in the 200m at nationals. Lyles looked at Bednarek as he crossed the finish line. Bednarek then shoved Lyles.
Lyles won the 100m at the 2024 Olympic Trials, while Bednarek won the U.S. 100m title last year, when Lyles raced only the 200m at nationals. Bednarek is not entered in the 200m this week as Lyles eyes a record-breaking sixth national title in that event (final Sunday at 5:39, NBC and Peacock).
Sha’Carri Richardson and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, who won the last two world 100m titles, are entered in separate events.
Richardson can become the second woman to win three U.S. 100m crowns since 2000 after Carmelita Jeter. That final is Friday at 7:45 on Peacock and NBCSN. Jefferson-Wooden bids to repeat as U.S. 200m champion (final Sunday at 5:47, NBC and Peacock).
Tara Davis-Woodhall will be one of the busiest athletes at Icahn. She’s entered in the long jump (Sunday at 4:05, NBC and Peacock) — where she’s the reigning Olympic and world champion on an 18-meet win streak dating to 2024 — and the 100m hurdles (final Saturday at 5:52, NBC and Peacock). In the hurdles, she is seeded fifth in the field by best time this year (12.47 seconds).
