James Corden uses Michael Phelps, bobsled team in mic battle with Usain Bolt

Late-night host James Corden called out Usain Bolt for having 14 fewer gold medals than Michael Phelps and living “in the shadow of a bobsled team” in a skit that aired overnight.

Corden and Bolt took part in a mic showdown on Corden’s show, and the host found no shortage of insults at his disposal.

Bolt won the battle, though, thanks in no small part to the use his Olympic gold medals.

As for Phelps, Bolt waved off following the swimmer’s lead of a retirement and comeback, according to comments published this week.

“His swimming can’t be compared with my running,” Bolt, who is to retire in 2017 or 2018, reportedly told German media. “Swimming is something natural. Michael will continue to swim after his retirement.

“But 100 and 200 meters of running, this is nothing natural. If you stop this, you don’t start again. At least I will not.”
