Eagles placed OLB Nolan Smith on injured reserve.
Smith reportedly re-injured the triceps muscle that he tore during Super Bowl LIX. He underwent surgery to repair the torn tissue this offseason. The Eagles believe Smith will not require surgery and hope to have him back “around” their Week 9 bye. Players placed on injured reserve are eligible to return after missing four games. The Eagles also placed CB Jakorian Bennett and WR Darius Cooper on injured reserve with undisclosed injuries. Both players are likewise expected to avoid surgery and are expected to return around Week 9. The Eagles signed S Marcus Epps, TE Cameron Latu, and CB Parry Nickerson to the active roster, and LB Lance Dixon, DB Eli Ricks, and WR Quez Watkins to the practice squad.
  • PHI Cornerback #34
    Vikings signed CB Parry Nickerson.
Nickerson’s only game action for Green Bay last year occurred against the Buccaneers, recording just two snaps on special teams before suffering a season-ending hamstring injury. Minnesota also signed veteran OL Evin Ksiezarczyk following this week’s minicamp tryout.

  • PHI Cornerback #34
    Packers signed CB Parry Nickerson.
Nickerson spent the summer in Jaguars camp but was part of final cuts. The slot corner has 20 games of NFL experience and will round out the back of Green Bay’s cornerback depth chart.

  • PHI Cornerback #34
Seahawks acquired CB Parry Nickerson from the Jets in exchange for a conditional 2021 seventh-round pick.
A sixth-round pick last year, Nickerson was in on 212 defensive snaps as a rookie. Small at 5'10/182, Nickerson was a turnover-creating machine at Tulane. He lit up the track with a 4.32 forty.
  • PHI Cornerback #34
Jets selected Tulane CB Parry Nickerson with the No. 179 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
Nickerson (5’10/182) made 46 starts in the Green Wave’s secondary, tallying 16 career interceptions and three forced fumbles and earning first-team All-American Athletic Conference as a senior. In 2017, PFF College charted Nickerson with a stingy 39.0 passer rating allowed and a 45% completion rate allowed over his final two college seasons. Blazing fast (4.32) but small and lean, Nickerson best projects to slot corner in the NFL.
  • PHI Cornerback #34
Jets signed sixth-round CB Parry Nickerson to a four-year contract.
The No. 179 overall pick out of Tulane, Nickerson is a playmaker with 4.32 wheels, but he weighs in at just 5-foot-10, 182 pounds. Those size concerns could confine him to slot duties in the NFL, although coach Todd Bowles said they will give him a shot outside during the offseason program.
