Jets placed S Tony Adams on injured reserve with a groin injury.
Adams missed one game after injuring his groin in Week 2. It appears as though he suffered a re-injury late in the season, though. Adams totaled 36 tackles, one quarterback pressure, one sack and five pass breakups this season. The Jets signed DT Payton Page to the active roster.

Jets signed Clemson DT Payton Page.
Page (6'3"/290) was a four-year player at Clemson who emerged as a starter in his final season. The former four-star recruit tallied 32 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, and a pick-six last season for the Tigers and earned a PFF grade of 73.6 for his defensive efforts. Page’s limited experience as a starter makes him more of a project at the next level, but he possesses ideal size and decent athleticism that made him disruptive in the passing game. The 24 pressures he generated in 2024 ranked 34th amongst all Power Five defensive tackles (min. 300 snaps) and could signal he he’ll have something to offer at the next level with enough reps.
  • NYJ Defensive Tackle #69
Clemson received a verbal commitment from four-star 2021 DT Payton Page.
Page (6'4/360) was also seriously considering North Carolina and Tennessee. The general thought heading into Tuesday’s commitment announcement was that Clemson had the edge on this one. The Greensboro, North Carolina, native makes for Clemson’s third pledge along the defensive line for the 2021 cycle. Page already brings it from a size and strength perspective (indeed, he’ll need to monitor his weight in the years ahead) and plays with deceptive quickness for a man of his volume. On the 247Sports composite board, Page hits the proceedings as the No. 80 overall prospect in the class.

Uncommitted four-star 2021 DT Payton Page is scheduled to announce his college decision July 28 at 6 p.m. Eastern.
Page (6'4/360), who’s considered to be one of the top defensive tackles in the 2021 class, has narrowed down his list to Clemson, North Carolina and Tennessee. While the respective head coaches at North Carolina (Mack Brown) and Tennessee (Jeremy Pruitt) have enjoyed good runs on the recruiting trail in the 2021 class so has Clemson’s Dabo Swinney, and most recruiting experts have Page committing to the Tigers. It’s also worth noting that Clemson, which hosted Page for its elite junior day in January, has yet to land a defensive tackle in the 2021 class.
