Falcons placed RG Garrett Reynolds (back) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Phillip Manley was promoted from the practice squad to take Reynold’s roster spot while No. 55 overall pick Peter Konz moves into the starting lineup. Pro Football Focus graded Reynolds as a league-average starter in the first half of the season. A 2009 fifth-round pick, Reynolds is a free agent in 2013.
  • FA Guard #63
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution hears whispers that G Phillip Manley reported to the offseason program weighing close to 380 pounds.
Manley was an undrafted free agent out of Toledo last season. The Falcons have a hole at right guard, but he’s not going to compete for the starting gig when he’s out of shape. The AJC expects Garrett Reynolds to battle Mike Johnson for that right guard spot. In that scenario, Lamar Holmes would fill Tyson Clabo’s shoes at right tackle.
