The Raiders worked out free agent LBs Prescott Burgess and Kevin Malast Tuesday.

Burgess has been waived by the Ravens twice in the past month. A pure special teamer since being a sixth-round pick in 2007, he’s notched 35 tackles in 38 career games. If signed, he’d be taking Ricky Brown’s (concussion, injured reserve) place on special teams.

Also getting a look are FB Moran Norris and WR Mike Sims-Walker. The Texans tryout is Sims-Walker’s second in two weeks. Considering the Texans’ lack of veteran depth behind Andre Johnson, it won’t bode well for MSW’s future if he again goes unsigned.
