Rosso signed a minor league contract with the Tigers back in March and was released last week after making just one relief appearance this season at Triple-A Toledo. The 25-year-old righty has made 14 relief appearances in the majors since the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign, so there should be some interest on the open market.

This isn’t much of a surprise as Peralta is still waiting on his work visa and hasn’t arrived to camp yet. The 32-year-old righty was excellent last year for the Tigers, recording a pristine 3.07 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 58/38 K/BB ratio across 93 2/3 innings (19 appearances, 18 starts). He will not make Detroit’s Opening Day starting rotation and will instead shift to the minors as extra organizational pitching depth.

Rosso became a free agent last November after refusing an outright assignment to Triple-A Lehigh Valley with the Phillies. The 25-year-old righty ping-ponged back-and-forth in Philadelphia last year, making seven relief appearances in the majors, finishing with a lackluster 5.63 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 7/3 K/BB ratio across eight innings of work. He’ll bolster the Tigers’ organizational relief depth.

Rosso has refused an outright minor-league assignment after being removed from the Phillies’ 40-man roster. The 25-year-old righty made just 14 appearances (one start) over the last two seasons combined at the big-league level.

Connor Brogdon will take his place in the Phils’ bullpen. Rosso holds a 5.63 ERA over seven appearances in the majors this year.

The 24-year-old will take the place of Connor Brogdon, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right groin strain. Rosso carries a 4.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP over 28 innings in the minor leagues this season.

Rosso has allowed five runs on seven hits with a 5/2 K/BB ratio over 5 2/3 innings (five appearances) at the big-league level this season. He’ll head back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley until the Phillies find themselves in need of some bullpen reinforcements.

Rosso will be in the Phillies’ bullpen on Wednesday night. The 25-year-old righty made one appearance at the major-league level back in late April. He’ll operate in middle relief moving forward.

Rosso cleared waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week. The 24-year-old righty has tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings at the major-league level this season. He’ll continue to serve as organizational bullpen depth at Triple-A.

The 24-year-old tossed just 1 1/3 innings for the Phillies this season, allowing no baserunners., but carries a career 5.73 ERA over 11 frames. The Phillies needed to make room on the 40-man roster after claiming Brady Lail off waivers from the Mariners.
