    Lions re-signed P Ben Graham to a one-year contract.
Graham averaged 44.1 yards on 28 punts after taking over for Ryan Donahue (quad) in November. The two will likely compete for punting duties this summer.
  • Lions placed P Ryan Donahue (quadriceps) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Donahue suffered the injury three weeks ago while taking reps at kicker for a banged-up Jason Hanson. The Lions couldn’t afford to keep carrying three punters, so Donahue’s season is over after averaging 42.7 yards on 49 punts.
  • Lions P Ryan Donahue (quad) will be ready for training camp.
Donahue beat out Nick Harris in a camp battle as a rookie last season, but was sent to injured reserve in Week 13. He’ll compete with Ben Graham this year.
  • Lions released P Ryan Donahue.
Donahue lost a battle with Ben Graham for the gig. He averaged just 38.0 yards per punt during the preseason.
  • Lions released P Nick Harris.
The Lions punter since 2003, Harris was beat out by undrafted rookie Ryan Donahue. Although Harris was set to make $1.4 million this season, the Detroit Free Press reports the decision was based on performance, not salary. Harris should get a call once someone’s punter goes down this season.
