The Nashville Tennessean lists No. 115 overall pick Coty Sensabaugh as a candidate for slot duties following the departure of CB Cortland Finnegan.
Tommie Campbell, Chris Hawkins and Ryan Mouton are all options, as well. Sensabaugh started for just one year at Clemson, but has prototype size/speed for a slot corner. Mouton, a former third-round pick, will be one year removed from Achilles surgery in August.

Titans CB Ryan Mouton (Achilles) was able to sprint last week for the first time since his injury in August.
Mouton has appeared in only nine games since 2009, but with Cortland Finnegan gone via free agency, he’ll be in the mix for snaps in 2012, according to GM Ruston Webster. Tennessee’s nickel corner job is open behind starters Jason McCourty and Alterraun Verner. A third-round pick in 2009, Mouton’s main competition will come from Chris Hawkins and Tommie Campbell.
  • FA Defensive Back
Titans CB Ryan Mouton is competing with Alterraun Verner for the slot role in nickel packages.
A 2009 third-round pick, Mouton is recovered from a torn Achilles and in the mix for a significant role this season. Verner, Tommie Campbell, Chris Hawkins, Coty Sensabaugh, and Terrence Wheatley will give Mouton plenty of competition for snaps opposite of Jason McCourty.
  • FA Defensive Back
Titans CB Ryan Mouton suffered a concussion in the team’s third preseason game Thursday night.
Though typically a day-to-day injury, it’s one that could cost Mouton a roster spot with final cuts approaching. Mouton had fallen behind Tommie Campbell in the race for nickel back duties. He may need to clear up quickly to stick.
  • FA Defensive Back
Titans CB Ryan Mouton is practicing on a limited basis at OTAs after tearing his right Achilles’ tendon last August.
“He came out this past week and he’s doing a good job in individuals,” said DC Jerry Gray. “He’s turning. He’s a little rusty on the technique, but as far as quickness, you can see that. He has some quickness.” Mouton was a third-round pick in the 2009 draft. He’ll be fighting for a roster spot this summer.
  • FA Defensive Back
Titans CB Roderick Hood is out until June at least after undergoing surgery to fix a sports hernia.
The Titans are optimistic that Hood will return by the final two months of June, but that seems unlikely. The injury is a major blow to Hood’s chances of winning the starting cornerback job opposite Cortland Finnegan. Jason McCourty and Ryan Mouton remain the odds-on favorites for the position.
  • FA Defensive Back
Redskins signed CB Ryan Mouton, formerly of the Titans.
A third-round pick out of Hawaii in 2009, Mouton spent the offseason on the street. Undersized at 5-foot-9 and 184, Mouton is a slot cornerback prospect.
  • FA Defensive Back
Redskins released ILB Josh Hull, WR Josh Bellamy, and CB Ryan Mouton.
A third-round pick in 2009, Mouton missed all of 2013 with a hamstring injury. His best fit is as a slot/reserve corner. Hull and Bellamy are nothing more than special teams players.
  • FA Defensive Back
Titans agreed to terms with third-round CB Ryan Mouton on a four-year, $2.4 million contract.
With escalators, the deal could be worth up to $3 million. An undersized corner out of Hawaii, Mouton is an aggressive defender with great ball skills. He’ll vie for the team’s dimeback role and is also in the mix for kick returns.
  • FA Defensive Back
Titans selected Hawaii CB Ryan Mouton with the No. 94 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Mouton is undersized (5'9) and there are some injury concerns, but he’s known to have great ball skills. He also could have return value for the Titans. As a rookie, he’ll compete with DeMarcus Faggins and Cary Williams for snaps.
